Overview

CSS3 is changing how we build the web. Even though many of us are still disinclined to start using CSS3 due to the lack of support in some browsers, there are those out there that are moving forward and doing some amazing Css3 Cascading Menu stuff with its cool new features. No longer will we have to rely on so much JavaScript and images to create beautiful website buttons and menus.

You can create a fancy rounded navmenu with gradients, with no images and no Javascript. This menu works perfectly well with Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari. The drop down also works on non-CSS3 compitable browsers such as IE7+, but the rounded corners and shadow will not be rendered. CSS3 transitions could one day replace all the nice javascript animation things.

How to use

1) Open Drop Down Menu HTML software and click "Add item" and "Add submenu" buttons situated on the Drop Down Menu HTML Toolbar to create your Cross Browser Css3 Drop Down Menu menu. You can also use "Delete item" to delete some buttons.

2) Use ready to use Templates. To do it just select theme you like in the "Templates" list. Double-click the theme you like to apply it.

3) Adjust appearance of the menu.
3.1. Select item by clicking it and change button appearance for normal and hover states and set buttons link properties and link target attributes on the "Main menu" tab.
3.2. Select submenu's item by clicking it and change submenu's appearance for normal and hover states and set submenu's item link properties and link target attributes on the "Submenu" tab.

4) Save your menu.
4.1. Save your project file. To save project just click "Save" button on the Toolbar or select "Save" or "Save As" in the Main menu.
4.2. Publish your menu in the HTML format. To do it click "Publish" button on the Toolbar.

I have got the entire CSS menu working good, but when the jquery horizontal dropdown menus user mouses over the main menu item, I would like the submenu items to appear underneath it and go from left to right as oppossed to top to bottom (horizontal vs vertical). i.e. as per your dropdown menu jquery example, home item would appear to the css3 mega down menu right of help section, and so on. any help would be greatly appreacited!!

So I should move both manually up and down, right? I’ve used many of these free css vertical menu templates menus, however I’m still wary of using CSS3 on live sites, but salivating over the prospect of it becoming de rigeur in the future, and lapping up everything I can about it in the css menubar style generator meantime – so thanks for mega demo in particular.

Great tool. I had a home-grown css menu that was working, but not in IE7 - yours does - thanks. One problem I seem to be having is that while the menu work on the wordpress vertical dropdown menu for sidebar home page, when I click on a multiple colums css menu maker different menu option, the menu repositions itself (incorrectly). if I click the Refresh button, the menu returns to the crack css3 menu builder correct position. Any ideas/assistance would be much appreciated.

It works properly in IE 7 and 8, works fine in IE 9. The drop down menus instantly disappear when trying to hover over them. I haven't a clue as to why this is happening. Have tried many different "fixes" on this yui nav menu html css only comment section but still nothing. Any ideas? z-index doesn't work at all.

I Build an zend dropdown css menu extensive menu bar, which works great. Until I need to add an css vertical divider submenu tutorial item to it. then comes to re-keying the web template with vertical dropdown menu whole thing back in again. And after two or three tries I get it right. On the pure horizontal css menu vwd extension profile page it looks like you might be able to save a onclick menu dropdown in css template or menu bar. But I can find no place to do that. Can you tell me how to save my work to go back and make changes?

Is it possible to give the wordpress plugin drop down menu option to leave the blue out of the expandable side menu in css only rounded button in the dropdown menu css generator wordpress warez templates. Hello and thank you for a great app! A free css menu library couple of quick questions. One - the cufon drop down menu generator places stylesheets inside the <body> tag instead of <head>, so was wondering if it is intentional. Another is that it does not quite work if I place the stylesheet in the css rollover sliding image menu external file. The nested menu items get displayed outside of the css rollover tabs gradient menu horizontal menu display area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried different linking methods with <link> and @import, but it only works if I use the php driven form drop down menu stylesheet internally. Obviously, for a multiple line css menu big site it would be nice to have it all in one file with multiple pages referencing it.
